We are excited to offer on behalf of one of our international clients this outstanding Porsche Carrera 2.7 MFI Coupe.
No need for a long introduction. Every Porsche enthusiast knows how rare and special these cars are! This example has been delivered new to Portugal in November 1973 in the color combination Bitter chocolate over tan-brown interior. It is a very early car and a very well equipped example with factory options as follows: - Impact absorbers; - Limited-slip differential; - Koni shock absorbers; - Blaupunkt radio; - Rear spoiler; - Tinted glasses and twin stage defrost; - Sunroof; The Recaro sport seats were probably ordered at a later point in the cars life.
This car was used just as a street car (no races) only and has been in Portugal most of its life, then came to Germany in 2013, a stint in France and finally to Italy in 2016.
Here the car underwent a full preservative restoration back to original specifications by Carrozzeria Serattini. Interior restoration was conducted by Tappezzeria Ferraresi using the original tan leatherette with beige-brown tweed cloth. We have dozens of photos documenting the complete restoration process, available on request.
The "matching numbers" engine was overhauled by the previous owner and it runs well with no oil leakage. The gearbox was serviced along with the electrical and braking system and the suspension.
This is one of the first 500 examples of Carrera 2.7 so it still presents the reinforced central tunnel, standard on the 1973 Carrera RS. Correct aluminum enforced ducktail from the factory!
The car comes with owner’s manual and service book in original red plastic folder, jack, tool bag, air compressor and spare wheel.
This Carrera has a valid French title and will be delivered with Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
Please study all the photos closely to evaluate the condition of this car!
