1962 Morris Mini MK1
1962 Morris Mini Cooper
This stunningly beautiful Morris Mini has been subjected to a professional complete restoration, performed on a 100% rust free body. Every body panel and the floorboards of the car are original and unwelded.
The body has been sprayed correctly in surf blue, its original color.
The interior is fully restored to manufacturer’s specs. This car even carries the ultra rare re-circulatory heater, totally rebuild of course.
The seats and carpets are like new, so are door panels, headliner and dashboard.
The VIN# of this car (K-A2S4L-212762) matches the British Heritage Certification.
The engine was originally a 997cc unit. During the course of the restoration, this was replaced by an early 1275cc Mini engine, which was totally rebuild and over bored to 1340cc, giving the car about 100hp to keep up with modern traffic.
However, this car has not been driven on the open roads since the completion of restoration more than 2000 miles. This Mini Cooper MK1 is perhaps one of very few real MK1 cars in this condition.
The car is in our showroom in Lake Mills Wisconsin and can be inspected and tested upon appointment.
