We are excited to offer this extremely well built, sports purpose 1982 Porsche 911 SC Coupe.
For many years, 2shores has been offering selected, finest grade examples of collectible automobiles. This Porsche 911 SC is one of those examples!
This car started life as a 1982 Porsche 911SC Coupe in Platinum metallic. Always a California car, it came to the current owner in 2018 and was treated to a complete and thorough restoration with the purpose to build a dependable and powerful sports purpose Porsche 911.
The body was completely stripped to bare metal and repainted in the rare and desirable Porsche color of Olive Green. All nuts and bolts, seals, fasteners, were either restored, replated or replaced. H4 headlights were installed. The original, unrestored, front and rear bumpers are included.
The interior was redone with new carpets, headliner, panels, and dash. Custom door panels with roll up windows. New Recaro Pole Position leather seats and Recaro mounts with Schroth racing harnesses. All gauges have been restored and calibrated. A removable roll bar is mounted to the chassis with welded in steel plates.
Suspension and brakes: All new bushings, bearings, ball joints, rotors, etc. Turbo tie rod ends. Rebuilt and restored calipers. New master cylinder and brake lines. Hollow 26mm Sanders rear torsion bars. Bilstein shocks. Essentially, everything is new or rebuilt.
Wheels and tires: Classic Carrera RS set up with 15 X 7 Fuchs with 185/70 Avons in front and 15X8 Fuchs with 215/60 Avons in the rear. Wheels restored by Rite-Way Wheel.
The engine was built in 2019, tuned and dyno'd by JWI, with 252 hp @6,500(dyno results included). It is a 3.0 Aluminum case with 964 Induction and cams. Wes King ported and flow tested heads. Electromotive crank fire ignition and engine management. JE / Mahle P & C's 9.8-1 comp. SSI's with Dansk GT-3 muffler. New clutch & flywheel. New chains, tensioners, rockers and shafts. The engine has less than 500 miles on it. The original 3.0 SC engine to the car, running at the time it was removed, is complete and included in the sale.
Transmission: Rebuilt 915 with early close ratio gearing and 7:31 differential. No LSD.
This car is a truly stunning example of a sports build and highly optimized 911 in a very appealing and rare color combination. Very tastefully executed and done right. Rare opportunity for the ambitious 911 driver!
