We are excited to offer this extremely well kept 1985 Porsche Carrera 3.2 Targa.
For many years, 2shores has been offering selected, first grade examples of collectible automobiles. This beautiful and classic Porsche 911 Targa is one of those examples!
It was the MY 1984 911 3.2 Carrera, reviving the Carrera name for the first time since 1977. The 911 3.2 Carrera was the second iteration of the 911 series, with all subsequent models featuring new body styling with new brake, electronic and suspension technologies.
A new, higher-displacement motor, a 3.2-liter horizontally opposed flat 6 cylinder, was utilized.
With the new engine, power was increased to 207 bhp (154 kW; 210 PS) at 5,900 rpm for North American-delivered cars. Car & Driver tested 5.3 seconds for the US version and had a top speed of 150 mph (240 km/h) as measured by Autocar.
Driving refinement and motor reliability were improved with an upgrade of the fuel and ignition control components to a L-Jetronic with Bosch Motronics 2 DME (Digital Motor Electronics system). An improvement in fuel-efficiency was due to the DME providing a petrol cut-off on the overrun.
Three basic models were available throughout the Carrera years – Coupé, Targa and Cabriolet.
Our car on offer is a 1985 Targa. Finished in the very attractive color of Iris Blue Metallic (P33) over blue leather, this 911 Targa looks simply stunning.
It was sold new at Martin Johnson Porsche-Audi and has been in the San Francisco Bay Area since new until it was sold to the current owner, a Porsche aficionado in Germany in April 2014. The car has been carefully maintained throughout its life by enthusiastic keepers. This is a very original, unmodified and particularly well sorted example.
Complete with books, tools, compressor, tire changing gloves, and full service history back to new. Some of the service highlights include:

The body is laser straight with perfect gaps and tolerances and gorgeous paint. The interior shows very well with some typical patina for cars of this vintage. The carpets have some discoloration from the California sun but are not torn at all. The leather seats are still very nice with no cracking or discoloration and tight support. Great dashboard with all instruments and gauges in working order.
100% rust- and accident free example in a highly attractive color combination.
Fully sorted, well kept and documented by 5 enthusiastic owners.
