1981 Porsche 911SC Targa
100% un-restored, honest and original SC Targa. This car is a true survivor! California car from new it has never seen salt, much rain or harsh weather.
This is a driver’s Porsche, not a trailer queen. The car has travelled 178.000 miles with 3 careful PCA owners and it does show some patina. The rare and very attractive metallic black paint is in remarkably good condition but it does have its share of rock chips and one scratch on the left rear fender. The paint actually looks more like a charcoal grey than black, but this is what Porsche called it. Very attractive and rarely seen color! Beautiful dent-free and bone dry body with great gaps and shut lines all around. No paintwork ever!
The interior is black leather. Crack free dashboard, great door panels and controls. The driver’s seat shows some wear, so does the carpet. Targa top has been redone once and is very good.
Mechanically, the car is in great shape with a very thick binder of regular service and all kinds of maintenance. It has received a top end rebuild at 166k miles.
Recent brake job and almost new tires on nicely preserved un-restored Fuchs rims!
This car still looks very nice but is at the same time “used” enough to be taken on longer Tours or Rally’s without being freaked out about a cloud in the sky or another rock chip. An honest driver’s Porsche 911 in the very sense. The 3.0l engine is perhaps the most bulletproof 911 engine ever build and this one still runs very strong. California Smog passed with no issues! Original window sticker, full service and owner’s history and car cover included. Even the original air compressor is still with it!
Please study all the photos closely to evaluate the condition of this car!
