We are excited to offer on behalf of one of our customers this beautiful 1961 Porsche 356 Super 90 Cabriolet.

For many years, 2shores has been offering selected first grade examples of collectible automobiles. This 356 Cabriolet is one of those offerings!

History:
In late 1959, significant styling and technical refinements gave rise to the 356 B (a T5 body type). The 356 B (T5, singe grille) was available as a Coupe, Cabriolet and B-Roadster.

This car:
Our car sold new on March 21st 1961 to a Mr. Dehler in Nuernberg, Germany.
Finished in light ivory over black leatherette interior.
It was optioned very nicely with an outside temperature gauge, an electric clock, Blaupunkt Stuttgart radio and a shift lock among other options which are still in the car today.

The car eventually made it to the US and the documentation starts again in 1990, when the current owner purchased the vehicle.
Under his 36-year ownership, the car was repainted to signal red many years ago. The paint shows still very nice with some minor imperfections.
The original Super 90 (type 616/7) engine was replaced at some point in time with a 616/12 Super engine from a T6 356.

The car was serviced locally in Sacramento regularly and runs and drives very good.

The body and paint are in good condition with only some minor scratches and imperfections due to age. The seats and the cloth top are excellent and restored. The dashboard (still carrying the original metric km/h speedo) is complete and shows nice. The Blaupunkt still works.

The car has no structural corrosion issues and is ready to be enjoyed immediately. A very solid and attractive driver!
It sits on four slightly wider steel wheels with hubcaps and the original steel wheels are also with the car. It also carries a luggage rack which comes in handy on longer road trips.

The car comes with a spare and toolkit as well as an owner’s manual and the original Kardex card.
