We are excited to offer on behalf of one of our clients, this low mile, first Generation 1993 Acura NSX.

For many years, 2shores has been offering selected, finest grade examples of collectible automobiles. This desirable early NSX is one of those examples!

The NSX was designed by a team led by Chief Designer Masahito Nakano and Executive Chief Engineer Shigeru Uehara. It benefited from advanced aerodynamics and styling inspired by the F-16 fighter jet cockpit as well as input, during the final development stages, from Formula One World Champion Ayrton Senna.

The NSX was the first general production car to feature an all-aluminum semi-monocoque. It was powered by an all-aluminium 3.0 L V6 engine, which featured Honda’s VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) system developed in the 1980s, a 5-speed manual transmission, or starting in 1994 the SportShift 4-speed automatic transmission, also known as F-Matic, which allows the option of conventional automatic shifting or manually shifting with a fingertip shift lever on the steering column.

The car was presented at the 1989 Chicago Auto Show. Production started in a purpose-made factory in Japan, for sale from 1990. It was originally available as a Coupe, then, from 1995 onwards, as a Targa Top. It underwent a performance upgrade in 1997, which saw the arrival of a larger 3.2 L V6 engine and a facelift in 2002 where the pop-up headlights were removed. The first-generation NSX was discontinued in 2005. North American models were sold as the Acura NSX.

Our car on offer has been part of a larger car collection for about 10 years. This is a 47k mile example finished in stunning red over black leather interior. The car is completely original and un-modified with the exception of different wheels. The stock wheels do come with the car (see photos).

The body presents extremely nice and is, except for the front hood, factory original paint. Parts of the hood, mirrors and gas tank are treated with paint protective film. Factory correct gaps and shut lines, never any accident.

The original black leather interior is in very nice condition with the driver seat showing just a little patina on the side bolsters, but no cracks. The dashboard with all instruments, door panels and carpets are fantastic. Everything works as it should and is functional.

The aluminum 3.0l engine has been regularly serviced and runs perfect. The car is fitted with the original 5 speed transmission and a joy to drive.

The Gen 1 NSX cars carry strong collector potential and are, as many people think, still undervalued in today’s market with fantastic upward potential.
