1982 Porsche 911SC Targa, One owner!

We are excited to offer on behalf of one of our clients, this one owner, all original, 65k mile 1982 Porsche 911 Targa.

For many years, 2shores has been offering selected, finest grade examples of collectible automobiles. This black on black 911 Targa is one of those examples!

Starting in 1978, the new 3.0 L 911 SC was now the second generation basic 911 model. The “SC” designation was reintroduced by Porsche for the first time since the 356 SC (as distinguished from the race-engined 356 Carrera). No Carrera versions were produced and the 930 Turbo remaining at the top of the range.

Our car on offer is a one owner, original paint, 65k mile example in stunning collector condition. This 1982 911 Targa was sold new on January 28th 1982 at Rule Dale Auto Plaza in Modesto, CA. as a surprise gift to Judy from her husband Rick.
The Targa is Judy’s pride and joy and she kept it for over 40 years as the sole and proud owner. Now, it is time to sell.
This is a time capsule like Targa, driven with care and serviced regularly. The service documents go back to day one!

The body still carries its original Porsche black (700-9-2) factory paint on all panels. Only the front hood had received some touch up. Paint meter readings are consistent on all panels and can be supplied on request.
The condition of the paint is remarkable given 40 years in California sunshine. All body gaps and shut lines are excellent. Obviously this Targa has never been in an accident and has zero corrosion issues whatsoever.
The nose and front hood show some rock chips but rather than starting paint correction or touch ups, it was decided to leave the car as is, showing its original condition.

The black leather interior is completely original as well and in very good shape. The driver seat shows some fading on the edges as is expected after 40 years and the sun has the dashboard ever so slightly warped, but with no cracks. The only modification Judy did to the car was changing the radio, that’s it. The rest of the interior is 100% original, un-restored and gorgeous! Perfect door panels, carpets and steering wheel.
The Targa Top is without rips or tears and closes tightly with no excessive wind noises.

Mechanically, this 911 is fantastic. It runs, drives, shifts and brakes just like a well sorted 911 should. The car feels tight, pulls strong though all the gears of the 915 five speed transmission and you can tell, this is a well maintained, low mile original survivor Porsche. Great fun! The car sits on correct and date stamped Fuchs rims and still at original US spec ride height, something you almost never see today.

The car comes with a complete factory tool kit, air compressor still in box, jack and date coded spare. Additionally, there are Porsche supplied emergency gloves still in the wrapper! Original owner’s manual and (stamped) service book included.

Please study all the photos closely to evaluate the condition of this car!
