1960 Porsche 356 B Super

We are excited to offer on behalf of one of our clients this beautiful 1960 Porsche 356B Super.

For many years, 2shores has been offering selected, finest grade examples of
air-cooled Porsches. This Porsche 356 Coupe is one of those examples!

The Porsche 356 is a sports car that was first produced by Austrian company Porsche Konstruktionen GesmbH (1948–1949), and then by German company Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche GmbH (1950–1965). It was Porsche’s first production automobile.
The 356 is a lightweight and nimble-handling, rear-engine, rear-wheel drive, two-door available both in hardtop coupé and open configurations. Engineering innovations continued during the years of manufacture, contributing to its motorsports success and popularity.
The basic design of the 356 remained the same until production ended in 1965, with evolutionary, functional improvements rather than annual superficial styling changes.
In late 1959 significant styling and technical refinements gave rise to the 356 B, a T5 body type, which is the car on offer with us.

Our car on offer is a 356B Super.
The car was first delivered on January 20th 1961 to famed dealership Competition Motors in Hollywood, California. Competition Motors supplied cars and parts to the early racers and people like Steve McQueen and James Dean purchased their cars at Competition Motors. The car still has a license plate frame from the dealership!

We have the original Kardex as well as a Certificate of Authenticity for the car.
Finished in rare and highly desirable slate grey over black interior, this car looks absolutely stunning.
The history of the car can be traced back to the 70’s, and the car has never left California.

Over the last 6 years, the car has been redone. The floors needed replacement and the car was completely repainted to its original color specs. The engine is a 1722cc hot-rodded, 4 cylinder with an Elgin cam, 912 heads and rocker assembly and correct 32mm Zenith carbs. It puts out well over 100hp and the car runs fantastic with a good punch to it.
The 4-speed tranny was also professionally rebuilt. Seats were done by Autos International and gauges rebuild by Palo Alto Speedo.

This little outlaw sits on wider Mangle wheels with new brakes and a dual-master cylinder and new tires and Bilstein shocks. Stock wheels with hubcaps and many other parts are available with purchase.
The car comes with tool kit, spare tire, jack and drivers manual.

This is a very cool 356 B Super Coupe (with improved dual mount transmission) in a stunning color combination with all mechanicals rebuilt.
